Description
Of all the baskets in the Southwest region the early three run coiled Apache baskets are the most collectible. The plant materials they used are Willow, Devil’s Claw and Yucca Root. The Yucca Root is used sparingly. Made on a three-rod foundation makes the baskets tight, stiff and sturdy with no bend and yield rounded well-defined coils that stand out. Height 3 inches and 17 inch diameter. This highly collectible basket features a bold striking double flower design. Circa 1890.
